The Breath of Life offers authentic creations.
After 10 years of traveling the world, France, Switzerland, USA, Canada, nourishing myself with blown glass and other techniques, making new friendships around the same passion, the Atelier le Souffle de vie sets down its suitcases on the hill of Sainte-Geneviève, in Lorraine.
Since 2017, Lucie and Mathys have been breathing LIFE and POETRY into each of their creations. Each piece, frozen in the moment, is accompanied by a poem, evoking legends, mysteries, symbols, stories... A small personal, emotional touch, which perfects the object in its most poetic universe, which quite simply gives it a soul .
Mouth blown, hand sculpted, functional and/or decorative, their creations are UNIQUE, AUTHENTIC, QUALITY. The Motto of the workshop ""CRAFTS SHOULD BE ACCESSIBLE TO EVERYONE"".

When painting invites itself into the Art of Blown Glass
Their new line of products is inspired by the ARTISTIC BLURS characteristic of so-called knife painting, an impasto technique. The metal oxides used to color the transparent glass overlap, mix, interact; Plays of contrasts, effects of light and relief are then created. The subtly chosen colors offer an impression of softness, freshness and serenity.
The stylization and linearization of details give these creations a certain and timeless aesthetic, pictorial value.

Visit the Pont à Mousson Basin by bike: the Voie Bleue
A route that connects the Netherlands to Lyon.
The Voie Bleue Moselle-Saône by bike is a national cycle route which stretches from Apach, on the Luxembourg border, to Lyon. This cycling route is the essential link to connect Northern Europe to the Mediterranean.
The route winds quietly along the Moselle before continuing along the Vosges Canal, and following the Saône to Lyon, then heading south.
From Metz to Pont à Mousson 33.64 Km
Leaving Metz from the South, La Voie Bleue alternates between the Moselle and a series of ponds, before reaching Jouy-aux-Arches, known for its Roman aqueducts. Arnaville marks your entry into Meurthe-et-Moselle.
From Pagny-sur-Moselle, the bike route calmly runs along the Moselle side canal to Pont-à-Mousson. The city conceals beautiful Renaissance treasures such as the triangular Place Duroc or the magnificent Prémontrés Abbey. Charming hotels, lodges, guest rooms, furnished tourist accommodation and camping on the Port de Plaisance are at your disposal in Pont à Mousson.
The route
South of Metz the route takes the left bank of the Moselle on a beautiful car-free route. You will find the name ""Charles the Bold"" on the presentation panels in several places along the route. Vaux marks your entry into the Lorraine natural park.
At the Moulins-lès-Metz road bridge, the route passes on the other bank (right bank). Be careful, dangerous crossing which must be done on the sidewalk next to your bike. You join the route on greenways on the other side through forests and ponds to Corny-sur-Moselle where the cycle route changes banks again (left bank again) by a busy and fairly narrow road bridge over the RD66.
In Novéant-sur-Moselle, the route runs along the Moselle side canal via a paved greenway. At the canal bridge (closed to the public), the route obliques towards Arnaville where it takes the RD912 and RD952. Be careful to take the road leaving the village on your left. The bike route alternates between small roads and greenways up to Pagny-sur-Moselle, then runs easily along the towpath to Pont-à-Mousson.
From Pont à Mousson to Nancy 33.97 Km
This stage of La Voie Bleue is marked by the confluence of the Moselle and the Meurthe which you follow by bike to the gates of the ducal city of Nancy. Known for these three 18th century style squares including the famous ""Place Stanislas"", a UNESCO World Heritage site.
The route
The crossing of Pont-à-Mousson is done by the dike on the banks of the Moselle then on a shared road (Place du Paradis, Quai Charles François). The Voie Bleue continues towards the Island of Esch then along the old Moselle canal. On a shared path below the old canal to the site of the old cardboard factory and to the large lock at Blénod-les-Pont-à-Mousson. The secure route takes the towpath to the RD 10 bridge, converted into a roadway with an unmarked central lane. Then, the route crosses the ponds of Autreville and opens onto the RD40 to Millery then Custines.
Crossing Nancy is done by following the ""Boucle de la Moselle"" signage on the left then right bank of the Meurthe as far as the Pont de la Concorde which you cross using a beautiful footbridge.
Sites to visit in the Pont à Mousson Basin.
Pont-à-Mousson : Prémontrés Abbey, Place Duroc, the Paper Museum, the Marina.
Dieulouard : Dieulouard castle built around the year 1000, the castle became an imposing fortress in the 14th century. This castle houses a sumptuous Gallo-Roman Museum.
